The very bad day...

Last night, while the baby went to be relatively easily, I could not. I knew that I was going to regret it.  I knew today was going to be bad. Little did I know how bad...

Rated PG for some language

Sure enough about an hour after I fell asleep, the baby woke up crying. We changed her, tried feeding her, tried comforting her, but nothing worked. She eventually fell back asleep an hour later, but awoke again in about another hour. This cycle continued for the rest of the night. I am also one of those people who cannot fall asleep until I know the baby is well asleep. Usually, she sleeps through the night, but my eldest came home Friday after school with a cold.

Lovely.

6:30 rolls around and I'm dragging ass out of bed. I usually like to give Bucket a bowl of cereal before school even though they provide a breakfast there. The girl can eat yet is a tiny thing, and I know that if she doesn't get enough to eat, it can lead to a rough day at school... Of course, she didn't want to wake up and I had to go back upstairs several times to finally get her out of bed. But we only had enough time to get her dressed and hair done before it was time to leave. The baby woke up during this time, and while she was in a good mood, I had to wake my husband up to come sit with her (I kicked him out of bed last night and sent him upstairs...he was whining too much) and she needed changed. Ususally, she doesn't need it this early... She wouldn't stop screaming, didn't really want to eat, nor did she really want to drink.

I notice I've got a cold and I'm having a hard time breathing. Hope this doesn't result in a trip to the hospital...My head is groggy, my sinuses feel like someone stuck nails in them, and it's making my teeth itchy.

Three poops later (in about three hours) I get a call from my husband saying he got let go from work. I hesitated thinking he was messing with me.

No. He wasn't.

Shit.

His boss said it had nothing to do with the sprained ankle - "it's just not working out". Really? That's why you took his work keys, credit card, and on-call phone? He just "isn't getting enough done" and  "there's been too many things building up to this". Good luck getting shit done with your 60+ year old employees...Have fun finding someone who can do what my husband can do... And I guess his boss isn't making enough money to keep paying him what he is and he wants to rent out our house. Ahhhh....So that's what it is, you fuck. Should have seen this coming... I was so upset I began hyperventilating. Haven't done that in a while.

Dammit...

A little after 4:00 pm, my husband walks in with the eldest from picking her up after school. Apparently, some turd punched my daughter in the eye. And the bus driver was telling my husband that she got in trouble for not sitting still. Well...wonder why?! I can't think of anyone who wants to just sit still while getting punched. My husband called the school and left a message. Hope this pans out better than the b.s. that occurred at the last school (in our old town). I think I may have posted about this prior, but I don't really feel like looking.

So, yeah...today can suck it. I have more to write about the firing, but it's getting late...

Holy Crap,,,Well here's the crap I always hear... "This too shall pass"....

I would think you would be able to take your sweet time moving.. three to six months.. maybe more.

Thank you both for the words of encouragement. =)

@eloh Unfortunately, no. Usually, with apartment maintenance, you have to get out in one to two weeks. Thankfully, because he "likes" Dan, he's letting him work for a month (when he has work for him) and therefore giving us a month to get out. He did try for two to three weeks, though. So, it could be worse...There are some good things that will come out of this, which I will be posting about soon...
